Q:   -What will I need before a Terra Home can be
built on my property?

A: -When building any type of home, manufactured home; you
will first need the building site, any neccesary building  permits,
foundation, plans and any other necessary documentation
required by the building laws and codes of your area.
Q:    -Who will finish the construction of my Terra
Home?

A: -There are two ways we know of:  A contractor of your
choice can finish your manufactured TerraHome shell to your
specifications. or you as the home owner can be your own
contractor and bid out the jobs to whom ever you see fit.
Q:    -Does it require any extra skill to finish the
interior or exterior construction of these homes?

A:   - The construction of a Terra Home is definitely different
than building your standard box style house. However, this
does not imply that it is more difficult. Actually it is quite the
opposite. The Terra Homes' use of curves are less than an
issue when applying the neccessary procedure to finish the
home. If any contractor or handy man tells you that it will be
difficult, it is because they think the use of curves is a reason
to charge you more, when if they looked a little closer, they
would see little or no extra effort in performing the alloted
tasks.
Q:    -How high, wide and long can I build my
Terra Home?

A:   -The height of the Terra Home Truss range from about
19- 35 feet tall. However, people have also increased the
height of their stem wall to gain more altitude.
-The widths run anywhere from 24- 50 feet wide, depending
on the size of the truss and also the length of the outswing.
Our standard width is 26-28 feet wide.   Anything wider is
custom made.
-There is no structural limit to the length of a Terra Home.
To increase the length, another segment of the Terra Home
Rib System is attached.
Q: -Can I build a Terra Home on an existing
foundation?

A:   -Yes, which can make things a lot easier if you have this
option. Please keep in mind the integrity of the foundation and
if neccesary, have it looked over by a professional.
The foundation must be at least 26 feet wide, which is the
standard base width of our truss.  Some require a few extra
footings for the outswing, or the extension of a stem wall.  It
can be pretty case specific. However, an existing foundation
can work to ones' advantage. Feel free to
contact us!
Q: Can I attach a Terra Home to an existing
structure?

A:    We are open to any array of possible settings and
applications for the Terra Home Rib System manufactured
home kit.  We have come up with a number of designs that
include the use of the standard frame coupled with the Terra
Home. On the other hand, we would prefer to keep the
structure and integrity of the TerraHome as intact as
possible.  Please call us for more information.
