...A gate way to a new
experience of living
CCTerraHome’s use of the Gothic Arch as its underlying principle
provides a strength and beauty rarely seen in present day building
structures. This theme is one that challenges the architectural norm
of today. The angular box style house most people live in is one of
few options offered--TerraHome is an exciting new alternative design
in a manufactured home kit. The search for deeper harmony within
one's living space and environment has been pursued for centuries.
In the East this study is known as Feng-Shui. The TerraHome arch
system, with its cathedral like ceilings and self supporting frame
encompasses the spatial harmony of Feng-Shui. TerraHomes' unique
architectural features can be easily adapted to any geographical
environment. This design can utilize most insulation technologies
including straw bale. TerraHome is a unique living environment
designed for the health and harmony of the soul.
The idea for the first TerraHome Rib System began in 1995 by the
founder Sigi Malinowski forming Creative Construction L.L.Co. The
purpose for the arches were originally to enclose the width of a
straw bale to their apex, but were soon seen to have a wider range of
possibilities. Joining forces with his brother; Vincent Malinowski,
German Architect and Feng-Shui master, and Donald Gabrich also
from Germany, who graciously provided financial support, they
created a masterfully artistic design for the discriminating home
builder. The grand cathedral like atmosphere of the arches with 11”
wide trusses are well suited for extreme snow loads and heavy wind.
The graceful curves of the structure are soothing and in alignment
with the principals of Feng-Shui, providing a unique and pleasing
living space. The trusses are made at the factory in Nucla, Colorado
and then shipped to the building site. Within a few days, the
complete frame of the TerraHome Rib System is erected and ½”
roof sheeting is applied.

Note we offer the shell only which consists of the ribs, fastening
hardware and perlin. At this point of completion a Contractor and
crew of your choice can finish the manufactured home kit to your
specifications with ease. To view actual TerraHome interiors, please

The TerraHome’s Rib System design embraces a simplistic
and efficient approach to building which saves time and man-
hours, cuts down on design costs, and minimizes the headaches
of load-bearing walls and delays caused by inclement weather.

CCTerraHomes' load bearing arch frame makes building the
rest of the house easy. The TerraHome is a creative
alternative to the box style home. This unique architecture
allows for easy future expansion without compromising the
integrity of the design.

The development of the Terrahome Rib System has undergone
years of research and engineering. The ease at which the
TerraHome is constructed is a home builders' dream come
true! The TerraHome can also incorporate other building
methods such as: "Post and Beam","Timber Frame", "Log
Home" and other popular methods," In our research we have
identified new construction technologies that can be utilized in
the Terrahome design, such as aerBLOCK: Autoclaved
Aerated Concrete (AAC), and others..
The TerraHome truss system utilizes the Gothic arch which has been used throughout history to construct buildings whose natural
strength have withstood the elements and the test of time.  The self-supported arch without intersecting beams or supports grants total
unimpeded space throughout the entire height of the structure's interior.  Alternatively, the use of elaborate beams and crossmembers can
be used to create a traditional effect if desired.

The TerraHome's design optimizes usable and cost-effective living space providing dynamic curvatures merged within the principals of
Feng Shui.  This ancient Eastern science coupled with extensive German engineering brings an "East meets West" concept to life.
